2020isanextraordinaryyearinhumanhistory.COVID-19andsubsequenteconomicandsocialshockshavecausedseveredamagetothematerialworld,whilealsostirringuphugewavesinthespiritualworldofmankind.“Anti-globalization”trendofthoughtAsanideologicaltrend,"anti-globalization"isareactiontotheideasadvocatedbyglobalization.Itdoesnotdenythefactthatglobalizationismoreefficient,butbelievesthatthelossescausedbytheunfairnessofdistributionfacilitatedbysuchhighefficiencyofproductionexceedthewelfareimprovementbroughtbyit.Thebinarylogicoftramplingorpursuingfairnessandjusticehasgreatlystrengthenedthe"senseofmoralmission"ofadvocatorsof"anti-globalization"."Anti-globalization"isnotaphenomenonthathasonlyappearedinrecentyears.BeforetheoutbreakoftheCOVID-19,drivenbytheUnitedStates,doubtsanddissatisfactionwitheconomicglobalizationhadalreadyformedacountercurrentintheinternationalcommunity,featuringfrequenttradefrictions,stagnantmultilateralcooperation,andtheriseofxenophobia.TheCOVID-19haspushedtheworldtoacrossroads:eithermovetowardsglobalizationbasedonacommunitywithasharedfuture,orslidetowardscastlingalonggeographical,ethnicandevenbloodlines.ExtremistthoughtsExtremistthoughtsincludepoliticalextremism,religiousextremism,racismandothertoxicandharmfulthoughts.Theircommoncharacteristicistoachievepoliticalgoalsthroughspreadingterrorandusingextremeorviolentmeans.SomeEuropeanright-wingextremistsbelievethatEuropeisacontinentofwhiteChristians,andMuslimsposeathreattotheirculture.InMay,GeorgeFloyd,ablackAmerican,diedbecauseofviolentlawenforcementbyawhitepoliceman,whichtriggered"BlackLivesMatter"(BLM)demonstrationsnationwide.Someright-wingextremistforcesalsotooktheopportunitytocausetrouble.Forexample,the"Boogalooboys",whohold"whitesupremacy",believein"NeoNazism"andanarchism,frequentlyappearedinfullbattlegearatthesceneoftheprotestandshotthepolicewhomaintainedorder.Theimpactofthe"Floydincident"alsospreadtoEurope.Morethan100peoplewerearrestedanddozensinjuredinamassiveconfrontationbetweenBritishfar-rightsandsupportersoftheBLMmovement.SomeEuropeanfar-rightpartiesrefertoanti-racistprotestorsas"terrorists".UnilateralismandpowerpoliticsTheCOVID-19pandemicin2020hasnotcurbedtheunilateralismoftheUSgovernment.InMay,PresidentTrumpannouncedthattheUnitedStateswouldterminateitsrelationshipwiththeWorldHealthOrganizationandredeploytheduespaidtotheorganizationelsewhere.InJuly,theUnitedStatesofficiallywithdrewfromtheWHO.Atthemomentofthepandemic,anysuppressionorblackmailingoftheWHOmeansdisregardforlife,challengeshumanitarianism,andsabotagesinternationalcooperationinfightingthepandemic.TheactionsoftheUnitedStateshavefullyexposeditstruefaceofunilateralismandpowerpolitics.Inaddition,itsarbitraryandadventurousbehaviorsontheIranissuearealsoavividfootnotetoUSunilateralpowerpolitics.AftertheTrumpadministrationtookoffice,despitetheoppositionofitsEuropeanallies,theUnitedStatesunilaterallyannounceditswithdrawalfromtheIrannucleardeal.TheUnitedStates’policyonIranandtheMiddleEasthasbecomea“booster”forregionalhotissues.What’smoreseriouswasthattheunilateralismoftheUnitedStateshasplayedanegativeexampleintheinternationalcommunity,weakenedtheauthorityandbindingforceofinternationallawandinternationalinstitutions,andincreasedtheriskofbringingtheinternationalcommunitybacktothelawofthejungle.CooperationonpublichealthandclimatechangeWiththespreadofCOVID-19,moreandmorepeopleofinsightrealizethatpublichealthandsafetyproblemscausedbytheCOVID-19andclimatechangearetherealenemiesofmankind.Theinternationalcommunityhasgatheredmoreandmoreconsensustoseekcommonresponsetothesethreats.China,theEU,andG77haveexpressedtheirsupportfortheeffortsoftheWorldHealthOrganizationtocontaintheCOVID-19.Somecountrieshavealsoprovidedadditionalfinancialsupportforthis.Forexample,China,afterdonating20millionU.S.dollarstoWHO,added30millionincashdonationsforthepreventionandcontrolofthepandemicandsupportingtheconstructionofhealthsystemsindevelopingcountries.Onclimatechange,inDecember2020,onthefifthanniversaryofthesigningoftheParisAgreement,theClimateAmbitionSummit2020washeld,and75nationalleadersannouncednewcommitmentsandspecificplanstoreducegreenhousegasemissionstocopewiththeincreasingtrendofclimatechange.RegionalandmultilateralcooperationIn2020,significantprogresshasbeenmadeinmajorregionalcooperationarrangementssuchastheRegionalComprehensiveEconomicPartnership(RCEP).TheprogressofregionalintegrationisvitaltotheregionalandglobaleffortstocopewiththeCOVID-19,andwillpromotetheregionalresiliencethroughinclusiveandsustainableeconomicrecoveryaftertheepidemic.Inaddition,multilateralcooperationisalsousheringinnewopportunities.ThecomingBidenadministration,whichaspiresputmoreemphasisonmultilateralrules,willreplacetheTrumpadministration,whichisobsessedwithpressuretacticsinbilateralties.Althoughtherearestillmanyspecificdifficultiesinmultilateralconsultationsintheforeseeablefuture,anewimpetusforinternationalcooperationdrivenbyregionalintegrationandmultilateralismistakingshape.TheconceptofACommunityofSharedFutureforMankindThemostimportantpropositionco
